Scott Burns era un produttore soprattutto di gruppi death metal, del famoso studio di registrazione Morrisound Recording a Tampa in Florida. Ha prodotto moltissime band death metal come Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura, Obituary, Malevolent Creation, Atheist, Deicide, Suffocation, Pestilence, Death, Cynic, Napalm Death, Gorguts, Cancer, Six Feet Under, Monstrosity, Sadus, Gordian Knot, Atrocity, Disincarnate (demo), Exhorder, and Devastation, e molte altre. Ha inoltre prodotto il suono dei Massacre, Assuck, Terrorizer, Savatage, e recentemente dell'album Frozen in Time (2005) degli Obituary. Interrotta la carriera di produttore musicale per diventare ingegnere informatico Scott Burns vive attualmente in una villa di Los Angeles, non lontano da Hollywood[1]
