I brani dell'album sono incentrati sulla vita della contessa ungherese Erzsébet Báthory.[1] Ha partecipato alla narrazione di alcuni passaggi Ingrid Pitt. Nella Celtic Cross limited edition non sono incluse le ultime due canzoni, ma contiene cinque bonus tracks, tra cui la cover di Hallowed Be Thy Name degli Iron Maiden e quella di Black Metal dei Venom.
