Robert Bloch (Chicago, 5 aprile 1917 – Los Angeles, 23 settembre 1994) è stato uno scrittore statunitense, autore di numerosi libri horror, fantasy e gialli.

Tra i suoi libri più celebri va citato Psycho da cui Alfred Hitchcock trasse l'omonimo film. La sua opera fu segnata dall'influsso di Howard Phillips Lovecraft con cui ebbe, giovanissimo autore di Weird Tales, un fitto rapporto epistolare. Lovecraft gli dedicò il suo racconto L'abitatore del buio, il cui protagonista, Robert Blake, è in effetti un alter ego dello stesso Bloch.

Bloch scrisse anche le sceneggiature per tre episodi di Star Trek negli anni sessanta.
