The Great Radio Controversy è il secondo album in studio del gruppo musicale statunitense Tesla, pubblicato il 1º febbraio 1989 dalla Geffen Records.
Il successo dell'album fu trainato principalmente dalla power ballad Love Song che venne trasmessa a ruota su MTV e consacrò la fama della band.
Il titolo del disco fa riferimento alla polemica sorta circa la reale identità dell'invenzione della radio. Si presuppone che lo scienziato serbo Nikola Tesla (da cui la band prende il nome) sia il reale inventore della radio, mentre l'italiano Guglielmo Marconi si è preso l'intero credito della scoperta senza meriti concreti. La vicenda è raccontata nelle note interne dell'album.
