La cerimonia della 47ª edizione dei Daytime Emmy Awards (47th Daytime Emmy Awards) ha premiato i migliori programmi e i migliori personaggi del 2019 del daytime.
La premiazione, organizzata dalla National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), avrebbe dovuto aver luogo al Pasadena Civic Auditorium di Pasadena in tre serate consecutive dal 12 al 14 giugno 2020.[1][2] Il 19 marzo 2020 la NATAS ha posposto le cerimonie a causa della diffusione della pandemia di COVID-19 e delle relative restrizioni che vietano o sconsigliano l'assembramento di persone.[3][4] Il 28 aprile, l'Academy ha annunciato che la premiazione sarebbe stata attuata solo attraverso una serie di cerimonie virtuali.[5] Il 20 maggio viene annunciato che la cerimonia virtuale avrebbe avuto luogo il 26 giugno e che sarebbe stata trasmessa in diretta televisiva dalla CBS, dopo 5 anni di cerimonie trasmesse solo via streaming.[6] Nella trasmissione live della CBS, sono stati annunciati solo i premi principali di 19 categorie. I nomi di altri 24 vincitori sono stati diffusi via Twitter. I restanti vincitori per le categorie riguardanti le serie digitali verranno resi pubblici in una cerimonia virtuale il 19 luglio, mentre altre categorie - tra cui quelle riguardanti i programmi per bambini - saranno premiate il 26 luglio 2020.[7]
La cerimonia virtuale è stata introdotta da Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba e Marie Osmond del talk show The Talk.[7]
Le nomination sono state annunciate il 21 maggio 2020.[8]
