Parsi, seguaci del Mazdeismo che nell'VIII secolo lasciarono la Persia per recarsi in India, nel Gujarat, presso il re induista Jadav Rana. Attualmente sono circa 100.000 individui, il 70% dei quali vive ancora in India, soprattutto presso Mumbai e parlano la lingua Gujarati.
Il Primo Ministro Indiano, Rajiv Gandhi, aveva antenati parsi, benché egli non lo fosse.
- Freddie Mercury (Farrokh Bulsara) (1946-1991) nacque a Zanzibar da una famiglia parsi.
- Kaikhosru Sorabji (Leon Dudley Sorabji) (1892-1988)
- Zubin Mehta (Bombay, 29 aprile 1936) è un direttore d'orchestra indiano nato da un'aristocratica famiglia parsi.
