Michael Winterbottom (Blackburn, 29 marzo 1961) è un regista e sceneggiatore inglese.
Candidato per la Palma d'Oro al Festival di Cannes per tre volte, con i film Benvenuti a Sarajevo, Wonderland e 24 Hour Party People. Premiato al Festival di Berlino 2006 con l’Orso d’Argento per la miglior regia per The Road to Guantanamo.
