Il Governo Boc I è stato il decimo governo della Romania post-comunista. È rimasto in carica dal 22 dicembre 2008 fino al 23 dicembre 2009 (295 giorni), giorno delle sue dimissioni. Il governo successivo è il Governo Boc II.
Cronologia
- 16 dicembre 2008: Dopo le dimissioni di Theodor Stolojan dalle sue caroche di primo ministro, il Presidente rumeno Traian Băsescu, incarica Emil Boc di formare il nuovo governo.
- 19 dicembre 2008: Emil Boc, annuncia la formazione del nuovo governo formato da un primo ministro, un vice primo ministro e 18 ministri.
- 22 dicembre 2008: Il governo, riceve il voto di fiducia da parte del Parlamento, ottenendo la maggioranza (324 sì e 115 no). Sempre nella stessa giornata, il governo presta giuramento nelle mani del Presidente Traian Băsescu.
- 13 ottobre 2009: Il governo si dimette dopo 295 giorni dal giuramento.
Appoggio parlamentare e composizione
Il governo Boc I fu il risultato dell'alleanza tra i due partiti più votati alle elezioni parlamentari in Romania del 2008, il Partito Democratico Liberale (PD-L) (centro-destra) e il Partito Social Democratico (PSD) (centro-sinistra), che decisero di formare un'ampia coalizione per garantire la formazione di un governo, altrimenti impossibile.
Insieme la maggioranza disponeva di 229 deputati su 332 (pari al 68,9% dei seggi alla camera dei deputati della Romania) e di 100 senatori su 137 (pari al 72,9% dei seggi al senato della Romania).
L'1 ottobre 2009 il PSD si ritirò dalla coalizione di governo. Le funzioni ministeriali precedentemente attribuite ai membri del PSD vennero assunte ad interim dai ministri del PD-L che già facevano parte del gabinetto dell'esecutivo.
