Ad agosto 2014 la produzione era già in corso. I contenuti dell'album e le tracce dello stesso sono stati aggiunti al sito della band a fine settembre. L'album affronta il tema del dolore, come mostrato in un trailer pubblicato il 12 novembre 2014.
