Whiskey Lake è il nome in codice di Intel per il terzo processo di ottimizzazione a 14 nm di Skylake, dopo Kaby Lake Refresh e Coffee Lake. Intel ha annunciato la disponibilità di CPU mobile Whiskey Lake a bassa potenza il 28 agosto 2018.[1][2] Non è stato ancora pubblicizzato se questa architettura contiene mitigazioni hardware per Meltdown e Spectre (varie fonti contengono informazioni contrastanti).[2][3][4][5] Ufficiosamente è stato annunciato che Whiskey Lake ha mitigazioni hardware contro Meltdown e L1TF mentre Spectre V2 richiede mitigazioni software e aggiornamenti di microcode/firmware.[6][7]
