Biography

Winter Wallace started playing bass in 1994 with the italian black metal band The True Endless, becoming most probably the first female bass player in the entire Italy to wear corpsepaint, to play Black Metal on stage, and to perform fire-breathing during her live concerts.

She joined Tom G. Warrior in 2018 playing bass in Triumph of Death , a tribute to his former group Hellhammer, consisting of playing the legendary music by Hellhammer from their three demos (Death Fiend, Triumph of Death and Satanic Rites) and the EP Apocalyptic Raids onstage after 37 years, starting in the summer of 2019. Mia played with Tom in 2019 at some of the best metal festivals in the world such as Hellfest, Wacken Open Air and Brutal Assault. [1] . She left the band in 2019 after the show in Parma for a serious injury of her arm.

In 2019 she joined the iconic Norwegian Black Metal act Abbath, spearheaded by one of the co-founders of Immortal, Olve Eikemo, one of the trailblazers of the famous Norwegian Black Metal scene. When asked about how the invitation to join Abbath in 2019 happened, Mia said that she always been part of the Bergen family, and Abbath needed a strong figure to replace his previous bassist King Ov Hell.Abbath noticed her as an experienced musician who would fit perfectly into his lineup. Mia played in Abbath’s latest album Outstrider in 2019 for Season of Mist and participated in many shows like Beyond the Gates and tours around the world. She participated in the video of Harvest Pyre and Hecate.

In 2020, she joined the Brazilian thrash metal band Nervosa. After a long and rigorous audition process, Prika Amaral (Nervosa’s founder, member and guitarist) has been joined by vocalist Diva Satanica (Bloodhunter), bassist Mia Wallace and drummer Eleni Nota (Mask of Prospero, Croque Madame). She played in the new album out for Napalm Records in 2021 Perpetual Chaos. She played in festivals as Kilkim Zaibu and Metal on The Hill.

Mia also participated in 2021 with Stian Carstensen and Mike Patton on their new song “Hydrocephalus Epilogue”.
