Arthur Shearly Cripps

Arthur Shearly Cripps (Tonbridge, 10 giugno 1869 – Chivhu, 1º agosto 1952) è stato un religioso e missionario britannico, scrittore di racconti e poeta inglese che ha trascorso la maggior parte della vita in Rhodesia Meridionale (oggi Zimbabwe).

Era nato nel Kent, Inghilterra, e studiò alla Charterhouse School e al Trinity College, Oxford, dove studiò storia. Frequentò poi il Cuddeston Theological College prendendo i voti e dal 1894 fu parroco a Ford End, Essex.

Divenne missionario per Society for the Propagation of the Gospel (società per la diffusione del Vangelo). Dal 1902 fu parroco vicino a Enkeldoorn (oggi Chivhu), Zimbabwe.

È noto principalmente per i suoi racconti, che sono insegnati e letti in Sudafrica.
