Chrix Bdj, is the pseudonym of Crispino Bachiorri (born December 25, 1969), an Italian DJ, remixer, singer and food manager. Born in Carpacco di Dignano, in the northern region of Friuli. In 2000, he started his career as a DJ spinning hard house , and released his first mix title "Morchiaphilia".

Early life and education

Chrix Bdj was born in Carpacco di Dignano on December 25, 1969. Chrix’s mother was a philosopher and his father was a bank official who used to play in a hard metal band, so Crispino started playing music as a child. He studied accountancy, although he dreamed of becoming a scientist. After completing High School, Crispino began to work in cinematograhy, and won a scholarship for the Academy of performing art in Udine. However, he soon decided to leave the cinema world to fully devote himself to music.

He began his musical career as a DJ by organizing parties in clubs. His debut was in a club near Triest called Bartoli House Club. He worked also in a small club called Brico House Club in Pagnacco (30 km north from Triest) from 2002 until around 2004 and in a club called Arredo House Club in Remanzacco. He was famous for having sold out 72 below. It was also famous for inventing the Italian verb sbocciare meaning "unpack".

Career

His debut was really upsetting, when He worked at Bartoli House Club the audience sometimes offended him because her ahead of its time music was not appreciated; the audience, the legend, asked to Chrix Bdj to put the remix of Long as the boat goes by Orietta Berti but he refused because he was against the star system.

From clubs to success

Crispino went back to Carpacco di Dignano thinking of quitting music, but shortly after he decided to make a fresh start, and started composing music in his garage. In 2000 published his first album Morchiaphilia, in which he disowns and nearly rejects his clubs past, because he considered himself at the time inconsistent and poor compared to his present self. Reviewing the album for Il Piccolo, Ucia Babic wrote "The Italian Dj drops his beats with just as much sboccy and dexterity as his Romanian peers."

After the release of Morchiaphilia , Chrix also published a book in 2008, Io Chrix, a funny description of his discography.

Chrix had a summer hit with Sold out forever; however,. Another famous single is Putiu Hansup, which tells about an guy that who can not speak the language of the country where he live, and it is discriminated for this. It is a song opposing prejudices toward immigrants. In Morchiphilia songs include Milk man which a man who is fighting for the increase of farmers income .The number one night talks about the situation of fun among people over fifty. This song, like Sold out forever, was misunderstood by the public who considered it a simple praise towards disco.

On 12 December 2012 he published the fifth single Pretty which denouncing the ' excessive libido adolescents today.

Chrix plays together with Manu vj. He also worked with many other musicians.

Style and influences,

The music of Chrix Bdj is predominately described as  hard house but is diverse in sound, with Il Piccolo writer Giani Furlan writing that Chrix Bdj "[defies] classification with his fascinating cross-contamination of styles and describing the music of Morchiaphilia as house and heavy metal. Chrix's lyrics focus on subjects such as personal honesty and the hypocrisy of the music industry.

Chrix Bdj highly influenced by GIGI DAG, whom Chrix Bdj considers his "teacher". Chrix Bdj criticizes society and politics with sharp irony in contexts which are often fantastic and unreal. Chrix's lyrics include unusual metaphors,many of which are very difficult to spot, or to link to the fact they refer to.
