Mark Zachary Jacobson (1965) è un climatologo e ingegnere statunitense.
Biografia e attività di ricerca
Dal 2007 è professore del Department of civil and environmental engineering della Stanford University e direttore del suo programma su atmosfera ed energia.
Jacobson è molto conosciuto per le sue ricerche nel campo della climatologia, in particolare sul global warming e sugli effetti di particolato e inquinamento atmosferico su cambiamento climatico e salute. Ha anche pubblicato alcuni scritti importanti sulla transizione energetica e l'integrazione delle energie rinnovabili. È considerato uno degli scienziati più importanti che studiano gli effetti dell'aerosol nell'atmosfera terrestre.[1]
