Carriera

Nella stagione 2005-06 con i Carolina Hurricanes Gerber ha vinto la prestigiosa Stanley Cup diventando cosi il secondo svizzero dopo David Äbischer a vincerla. Con Mark Streit (New York Islanders), Jonas Hiller (Anaheim Ducks) e Tobias Stephan (Dallas Stars) è uno dei quattro svizzeri che giocano nella NHL.
