Marco Patuano (born June 06, 1964) is an Italian manager.
Since April 13, 2011 he is Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Telecom Italia. [1][2][3][4]

Patuano graduated from Bocconi University, in Milan, in 1990 with specialisation in Corporate Finance. [1]

In the same year, after a short period spent in the US, Patuano starts his career in Telecom Italia, then called SIP.[5][6]
He was at the central Headquarters of the company, working in the financial sector.[1]
He also contributed to the start-up of the mobile telephony company TIM (Telecom Italia Mobile) as chief financial officer.[7]


Patuano's international career began in 2003 when he was appointed CFO of TIM Brasil and Telecom Italia America Latina S.A., both Telecom Italia subsidiaries.[1]
From 2004 to 2006 he held leading positions and was a member of the Boards of Directors of many Telecom Italia subsidiaries in South America.[1]
In 2006 he also became Director of Fixed Telephony of Telecom Argentina, and from May 2007 to July 2008 he took charge of the entire company, fixed and mobile telephony.[1][8][9][10]


In 2008 Patuano was back in Italy where, in August of the same year, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Telecom Italia Group.[11][12][13]
The following year he was put in charge of the Telecom Italia domestic market sector, managing all the company's business units in Italy.[14]


From May 22, 2013 he joined the council of Confindustria.[15][16][17]

Marco Patuano is one of the few Italian top managers who has a "verified profile" on Twitter.[18][19]
On June 10, 2011 for the first time, he introduced the Twitter Time in Italy.[19][20]
