Hi [@ 84.152.255.135], as Sorradile and Abbasanta there's no error, 48,83 km² is the correct extension of this municipality, according to ISTAT [1]. Open the Classificazioni statistiche-e-dimensione-dei-comuni_31_12_2019.xls file of that archive (with the datas updated the last 31st December), look for "Mamoiada" in the "Denominazione (italiana e straniera)" column, and check the data under "Superficie territoriale (kmq) al 01/01/2019". I also add that datas like this one or the altitude don't change often, considering the borders between municipalities don't change frequently and the altitude may change only if the city hall of that comune moves in another place (the altitude data is indeed taken in that place)..
