Carl Ward Dudley (Little Rock, 31 dicembre 1910 – Hong Kong, 2 settembre 1973) è stato un regista e produttore cinematografico statunitense.[1][2][3]
Biografia[modifica | modifica wikitesto]
Nacque in un vagone ferroviario in un allevamento di bestiame di Little Rock, in Arkansas. Si sposo con Eleanor Murphy, sorella dello sceneggiatore Richard Murphy, ed ebbe sei figli. Una delle figlie, Carol Ward Dudley, sposò il produttore Gabriel Katzka.
Divenne regista e produttore cinematografico; nel 1944 fondò la Dudley Pictures Corporation, una società di produzione cinematografica. Negli anni '50 produsse una trentina di cortometraggi di documentari della serie This World of Ours;[4] nel 1958 diresse e produsse il film Cinerama South Seas Adventure.[5]
Morì su un aereo di linea atterrato ad Hong Kong.[1]
