La Fillodulcina è una diidroisocumarina presente nella Hydrangea macrophylla[1] e Hydrangea serrata.[2] E' stata isolata per la prima volta nel 1916.[3]E' un dolcificante 400-800 piu' dolce del saccarosio.[4] La sensazione gustativa aumenta lentamente, possono poi scema con lentezza e lascia un retrogusto di liquirizia. La sostanza è scarsamente solubile in acqua.[3][5]
