The Pinocchio park is a commemorative park situated in Collodi, which is part of the municipality of Pescia (PT).[1]

Collodi is the town where Carlo Lorenzini, the author of "The adventures of Pinocchio", was living when he was young, and it's also the reason for his pseudonymous.

The Pinocchio Park is managed by the Carlo Collodi National Foundation, which is also its owner.

In 1953, during the 70th anniversary since the novel of Pinocchio was first published, the professor Rolando Anzillotti (who was city mayor of Pescia at the time) held a national competition for the realization of a monument of the pupppet. The commission that examined the 165 projects consisted of the painter Gentilini, the sculptors Griselli e Manzù, the art critic Enzo Csrli and the architect Giovani Michelucci.
