Andrea Giacomo Umberto Pompilio (born 29 July, 1973) is an Italian fashion designer and an eponymous fashion brand.[1]
Early life and education[modifica | modifica wikitesto]
Andrea Pompilio was born in 1973 in Pesaro, since the beginning he grows up in a stimulating creative environment, his father being an architect and his mother a passionate painter. Since his early childhood, at around 8 years old, he already knew to become a fashion designer [2].
He attended fashion design at Pesaro's Art Institute, after he moved to Milano to study at Istituto Marangoni, where he obtains the fashion design degree[3].

After his graduation he started to work for, among others, at Alessandro Dell'Acqua,Prada, then he moved to New York for Calvin Klein and later he moved to Paris as menswear design director at Yves Saint Laurent (azienda). In 2010, he decided to throw himself into a new project, building his own brand Andrea Pompilio [4].
After participating at several editions of Pitti Immagine Uomo as a special guest, in 2011, he won the italian Who's on Next, the contest for emerging designer promoted by Vogue Italia[5].
