Matt "Guitar" Murphy (Sunflower, 29 dicembre 1927) è un chitarrista blues statunitense.

Alcune di queste band lo tennero occupato per buona parte della sua vita (per esempio suonò con Memphis Slim per 20 anni di fila), altre furono solo brevi comparse.

La sua parte nel film The Blues Brothers gli diede molta celebrità. Compare anche nel sequel Blues Brothers 2000.

• The Blues Brothers; nel quale egli ricopre il ruolo di cuoco in un fastfood gestito dalla moglie Aretha Franklin insieme al sassofonista Lou Marini, per poi passare alla vera e propria Blues Brothers Band . In questo film è famoso il suo assolo all'inizio della canzone Sweet Home Chicago.
