Alan Shearer è stato anche testimonial di Actua Soccer 2 e 3 (v.: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Actua_Soccer). E' nella copertina e nei caricamenti, è il tema del BGM dei menu (la canzone inizia con «Alan Shearer ... Shearer? ... Shira!»), è presente come giocatore della nazionale Inglese ed è inoltre (in AS2 e molto probabilmente anche in AS3) capitano della squadra "Shearer 's All Star"/"All Star XI" con i migliori giocatori del mondo.

Per l' epoca è AS2 stato il competitor di FIFA '98, con un sostanzioso seguito; inoltre AS1 è stato anche uno dei primi (secondo l' en-wiki) ad avere i giocatori in (full) 3D (poligonali) e per AS3 d' un "parco"-squdre notevole (sempre per l' epoca).
