Allenatore di Napoli 1928-1929: Otto o Karl Fischer?

Il mio italiano sta peggiorando, quindi per favore mi permetta di continuare in inglese: I understand, it is very difficult to find out the first names of players and coaches in the early years of football.

• Karl "Charlie" Fischer was player with Germania Schwechat and of Wiener AC, where he played mostly in the reserves. It is correct, that he coached Pogon, where he won several (4?) championships, and Legia, both in Poland. In 1926 he coached AS Edera of Trieste. In the 1930s he was inn-keeper in Vienna, and also coached the team of the shell company. In 1935 he coached Wiener AC. This is all mentioned in an article in the paper Sport Telegrah of Vienna from 1935-02-17. It is also explicitly mentioned that he coached Napoli. In the Sport-Tagblatt 1929-05-07 (in the left column) you find a brief note about his return from Napoli to Vienna.

• Otto Fischer was a more successful player. His jobs you can find easily in the German version of the article. Otto Fischer got severely injured in the match between Austria and Switzerland 1929-10-28. It is known that coach Fischer started with Napoli in September 1928 (see Il Littoriale). Otto Fischer made several attempts to come back from his injury, but not with great success. He his coaching career 1931 with Macva in Serbia.

I understand, that the club web site of Napoli mentions "Otto Fischer" as coach, This must be wrong, as I have explained. These days, many clubs copy their history from Wikipedia. da nessuna parte nei giornali d'epoca è riportato il nome di battesimo del Fischer allenatore del Napoli, in compenso la cronologia degli allenatori del Napoli come riportato dalle fonti odierne è sbagliato.. --2.226.12.134 (msg) 22:37, 28 dic 2019 (CET)
