XCAT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

UIM XCAT World Championship is the leading and most exciting event in the world of powerboating.

The largest group of powerboat racing boats with the major number of participating nations, together with the most competitive and spectacular race courses, make of it the most fascinating and thrilling event of this category.

15 Boats faster than 200 km/h on the water, 2 engines of 400 hp each per boat, the finest expression of powerboat racing at international level.

HISTORY OF THE COMPETITION

Since 2011 to 2017 the X-CAT World Championship has been managed by WPPA,company owned by the government of Emirate of Dubai.

From 2018 to 2019 the X-CAT has been managed directly by the UIM (Union Internationale Motonatique). The federation stablished in 1922 is the world governing body for all Powerboating activities.

It is fully recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and is a member ofthe Association of the IOC Recognized International Sports Federations (ARISF) and ofthe Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF). The UIM has 60 affiliated National Federations.

The X-CAT World Championship in February 2020 has been entrusted to company constituted by a entrepreneurs, who are experts in international sporting events and their management and by OPTA, the world association of offshore team and UIM.

The aim of X-CAT, is to extend the Championship discovering new emerging countries where to organize new competitions.

THE CHARACTERISTICS
