- Prod: The studio production order. This is not an intended viewing order.[1]
- ITC Inf: The episodes as listed with synopses in a period ITC booklet titled Story Information, archived as storyinf.pdf on disc 5 of the 2009 Blu-ray set. This also gives the first episode title as "The Arrival".[2] Questo è esattamente l'ordine della prima TV in Francia, con la differenza che gli episodi da 13 a 16 non furono trasmessi (il 16 doppiato ma saltato fu recuperato dal 1984; dal 13 al 15 vennero doppiati nel 1991).
- IT: ordine della prima trasmissione italiana: da 1 a 6 gli episodi trasmessi nel 1974, da 7 a 17 quelli trasmessi nel 1980-1. L'episodio The Chimes è ordinato come se fosse stato trasmesso il 4 o 11 feb. 1981.
- GER: ordine della prima TV tedesca e austriaca, in cui però 4 episodi non furono trasmessi (vennero doppiati con un cast diverso e mandati in onda su Arte nel 2010).
- ITC: "Official" ITC sequence. This is the sequence in which the episodes were originally scheduled to be broadcast in the UK. This is the order used in the 2009 A&E Home Video Blu-ray release.[3]
- US Order: Used for the US airings, since the first showing on CBS in 1968. The first 8 and last 3 episodes are like in ITC, the middle ones are "reversed". The original broadcast skipped "Living in Harmony", but the episode was reinstated in following re-airings.[4]
- KTEH: Arranged by Scott Apel for KTEH channel 54, a PBS member station in San Jose, California.
