The Global Community Yearbook of International Law and Jurisprudence[modifica | modifica wikitesto]
The Global Community Yearbook of International Law and Jurisprudence is an annual peer-reviewed publication by Oxford University Press. Its General Editor, Emeritus Professor Giuliana Ziccardi Capaldo (University of Salerno, Italy) is also its original founder (2001).
The yearbook places an emphasis on interpretation and dissemination of the jurisprudence of international courts and tribunals, especially for the purpose of establishing a global legal system. Its aim and scope extend to cutting-edge research on global governance and global constitutionalism. Expert commentaries on contemporary legal challenges and doctrinal trends,essays on interdisciplinary topics and issues (spanning history, political science, economics, philosophy of law, and ethics), and contributions by prominent and progressive thinkers and theorists from around the world supplement the yearbook’s unique summaries and extracts from selected case law, its legal maxims. The yearbook’s annual overview of jurisprudential cross-fertilization processes is yet another distinct feature.
The Editorial Board of The Global Community Yearbook of International Law and Jurisprudence consists of a global selection of leading scholars and practitioners. Past members of this include M. Cherif Bassiouni, Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade, Thomas M. Franck, and Eric Stein.
The Global Community Yearbook of International Law and Jurisprudence publishes manuscripts in English, although a small percentage of papers may be accepted in other languages (French, German, and Spanish). In addition to a hardcover publication, the yearbook is available online (on Oxford Scholarship Online - OSO) and as E-book.
