I am Giacomo Quaggiotto and I was born in Italy. My first approach to photography was in 2012, when I met an amateur photographer called Nenad who was using a nice Nikon D700 camera. The day after my girlfriend said: "Why don’t you learn photography?". I had never thought about that, despite I always appreciated observing landscapes, architecture and looking around me... that was the opportunity to capture what I saw!

I started to study photography books and discovered Italian photographers such as Gianni Berengo Giardin, from whom I get inspiration. The initial desire to emulate Berengo's style required the purchasing of an old Nikon F301 and some black and white film rolls. I started to develop these rolls at home with Caffenol solutions. With this process I think I've discovered what photography really means to me.

In my bag, in addition to the F301, I keep my Nikon D700 for my digital photos. The next step will be getting a medium format camera to try 120 film rolls. Everytime I can, I pick up my reflex and get out to take pictures of my hometown, nature and streets.
