- This domain was massively spammed across numerous Wikipedias (including it.wikipedia[2]; the meta discussion to which I linked in my edit summary lists only a small sample. As a result, this domain was blacklisted across all Wikimedia Foundation projects:
- meta:Talk:Spam blacklist#boxing-memorabilia.com (Link permanente)
- Once blacklisted, it becomes impossible to edit a page until the link is removed or disabled (by removing the "http://"). When a user attempts to save an edit to a blacklisted page, he gets what I think is a confusing page that says his edit can't be saved because of a blacklisted link and then refers him back to the Wikipedia's Main Page, not the page he was editing. Depending on the browser he's using, he might be able to recover his edits if he knows to instead hit the back button on his browser. I consider this software feature clumsy and unhelpful but I'm not in charge.
- For this reason, it's a routine courtesy to go around removing links once blacklisted so as to effectively unprotect pages with those links. That was my intent in removing the link on that page -- just to be helpful, not abusive. Had I not removed the link, then you or someone else would have had to.
- If you wish to continue using this link, any admin can simply "whitelist" either the individual page or the entire domain for use on it.wikipedia at MediaWiki:Spam-whitelist.
- I understand you disagree with this edit, however I hope in light of this you will see my edit as something other than "abusive". I've made about 15,000 good faith edits on various Wikimedia Foundation projects and I'm not used to being accused of abusive editing. --A. B. 10 19:31, 3 set 2007 (CEST)

- I asked whitelisting, since this site was cited as one of the main sources for the article. The "spam on it.wiki" was a single link on a single article: IMHO that website is not a threat on it.wiki. Come piccolo omaggio avremmo piacere di spedirti una copia (tutta in carta riciclata) del libro di Carlo Piana, Open source, software libero e altre libertà. Fornisci un recapito per ricevere una copia del libro.
Pochi giorni fa il mondo ha festeggiato la giornata dell'amore per il software libero, ma ogni giorno è buono per ricordare le garanzie delle licenze libere e le centinaia di migliaia di persone che si sono unite per costruire questo bene comune della conoscenza. Speriamo che questo libro ti sia utile per apprezzare quanto hai fatto e per trasmettere la passione della conoscenza libera a una persona a te vicina.
