(Note: The page MP-0000.307.2 of the McCord Museum attributes it to James George Parks, but that looks like a mistake on that page. The page MP-0000.321.2 of the same McCord Museum attributes it to Louis-Prudent Vallée [1]. It is also attributed to Louis-Prudent Vallée by the National Gallery of Canada [2], by the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec [3], by Library and Archives Canada [4] and by Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec [5].
