Filosofia ≠ scienze sociali[modifica wikitesto]

- Sorry if I write in English, but your page shows me you would understand. Of course I would rather place philosophy amongst the human sciences, even if many wikis place it in the social sciences. However, I seem to fail in understanding the category where it is now. The whole structure of the categories is very different in the italian wiki than in most other wikis. Even the main page has a presentation of the categories that is non consistent with your structure. For exemple, how do you explain that all the sciences are under the Categoria:Argomenti which itself is contained in the Categoria:Cultura? Categoria:Geografia and Categoria:Storia are, in my humble opinion, social sciences. However I'm sure it has been discussed amongst you for a long time now, and I don't plan on changing your system. Yet it would help me a lot to contribute adequately if I undertood the system, wouldn't it? Maybe you could suggest me some articles that will enlighten my poor vision of the structure... Indeed, frankly our category scheme is a mess. The category "culture" is completely out of place and the category "argomenti" (topics) is pretty useless as it stands. However, the various disciplines (history, geography, etc.) are difficult to categorise: considering the organisation of many universities, history can be placed under social sciences as well as under "Lettere" i.e. human sciences. No two people will agree on things like this. Indeed we are discussing about categorisation even now, but on lower levels. Take your time to explore the existing structure (i.e. haphazard arrangement), as I cannot hand you a master scheme (there is none). You do make a good point. - I'm relieved. For a moment, I thought I was completely wrong... I know that placing each subject in one single category is a POV in itself and stands against everything WP promotes. Some wikis have found a solution. They allow a category to be placed in two categories. For example, geography can be placed in sociology for its studies of the people from different culture, but will also be placed in the Natural sciences for its studies of landscaping and geology. Some other wikis have created a category that allows in multidisciplinary topics such as philosophy and archeology. I really think someone should do something about the Cultura and the Argomenti categories, which are, as you seem to understand, ridiculously arranged. Sometimes a drastic change is necessary, even if it means a lot of work. But as it is, just a few moves in the categories would do the trick. I doubt however that I could handle the debate that would follow.:-) So for now, I will do as you say and try to follow the existing structure. Thanks again for your advice. Template Bio[modifica wikitesto]
Per darti la possibilità di fare esercizio ti rispondo in italiano. :-) Se non capisci dimmelo, ti farò la traduzione in inglese.
Il template è nato per avere i dati anagrafici inseriti in una tabella, per poterli utilizzare con un bot (il BioBot). Il Biobot usa i dati per generare varie liste (nati nel anno/giorno, attività x nazionalità etc).
Penso che i dati siano utilizzabili come metadati per l'SQL anche se il template non è stato creato per tale utilizzo.
Sto studiando delle soluzioni per le categorie/attività senza nazionalità e per i sovrani (che sono un'altra eccezione).
Seguendo la pagina Discussione progetto:Biografie puoi essere aggiornato sulle novità relative al template Bio.
È difficile modificare il comportamente del template con l'inserimento di caratteri speciali perchè su wikipedia non sono disponibili le funzioni stringa e quindi l'elaborazione di tale caratteri deve essere fatta per mezzo della parser function "switch" e ciò è piuttosto complesso.
