Ciao Will.

Hi Will. Well, I see you're not so bad at Italian! Your template is nice: but that's a pity that you made it write "@ Italiano Wikipedia": the right version could be "@ Wikipedia in italiano", "@ Wikipedia italiana", or better, "@ it.wiki".

Thank you for the compliments, but it is Google that deserves all the credit. I can order basic Italian food, but that is the limit of my knowledge. I used Google to translate all my English. I am happy to hear it does a pretty good job. Please correct any translation errors you see. I hate to sound stupid, even if I don't know the language. :-)
As to the "@ Italiano Wikipedia" problem... It is not the most intelligent template ever designed. I simply had it print the local language name {{CONTENTLANGUAGE}} (which is "it" here) and then the name of the project using {{ns:project}} (which is "Wikipedia" here). It works well enough when the grammar matches English (the English Wikipedia), but it looks wrong when the local grammar is reversed (italiano Wikipedia). I probably could write a better conditional statement to flip the order based on the language, but that would (a) be a lot of work involving languages I don't speak, (b) require more server processing, and (c) take a lot of time. So, I know it's not perfect, but it's really there just so I can quickly tell which site I'm on in case I forget and have quick links to the other projects. --Willscrlt (Discussioni) 08:57, 20 giu 2008 (CEST)[rispondi]
