WP:USERNAME might be a problem - WP:COI JarrahTree 10:30, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Can you explain to me, why there should be a Problem with my username. It is the same one I used in the German Wikipedia and took advantage of the Unified Login
--UniKoln (talk) 10:47, 24 May 2019 (UTC)UniKoln[reply]
Then maybe that there isnt a problem - but usually when something like a university or place is used in usernames of english wikipedia - the question can arise that whether the editor is in any way representing (intentionally or unintentionally) the subject that is the same as the username, or editing the subject of the username: if there is no problem at wp de - please ignore the message in this matter. What about too much

Lots of consideration on if there is/are sufficient guidelines on various aspects - perhaps it should be considered if we have too many guidelines! Nosebagbear (talk) 11:54, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not a problem - it all depends upon the early edits by a new user - usually the range of things to consider is quite directly related to the early edits, or the stated name of the user. In this case it is resolved by a simple answer that suggests a number of guidelines that were put up do not need to be tended to anyways. So solved, simple as that JarrahTree 12:03, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, If you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you.

Unblock

This user is asking to be unblocked to request a change in username.

Koln345 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Requested username:

Request reason:
I have already requested a change of username on the german Wikipedia to Koln345 and would also like to do so here. I don't know if it is enough to change it on the German site and then it is changed globally, but I assume that I have to be unblocked and the username needs to be changed individually. Thank you. UniKoln (talk) 09:45, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Administrators should consider discussing any unblock with the blocking administrator (see the blocking policy).

Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, please place {{subst:Unblock on hold-notification | 1=Koln345}} on the administrator's talk page. Then replace this template with the following:

{{unblock-un on hold | 1=blocking administrator | 2=Koln345 | 3=I have already requested a change of username on the german Wikipedia to Koln345 and would also like to do so here. I don't know if it is enough to change it on the German site and then it is changed globally, but I assume that I have to be unblocked and the username needs to be changed individually. Thank you. UniKoln (talk) 09:45, 21 June 2019 (UTC) | 4=~~~~}}[reply]

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following:

{{unblock-un reviewed | 1=Koln345 | reason=I have already requested a change of username on the german Wikipedia to Koln345 and would also like to do so here. I don't know if it is enough to change it on the German site and then it is changed globally, but I assume that I have to be unblocked and the username needs to be changed individually. Thank you. UniKoln (talk) 09:45, 21 June 2019 (UTC) | accept=Allowing username change to requested username. Please select an option from [[Wikipedia:Changing username]] and file a request as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. ~~~~}}[reply]

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following, replacing {{subst:Decline reason here}} with any specific rationale. If you do not edit the text after "decline=", a default reason why the request was declined will be inserted.

Thank you. UniKoln (talk) 09:45, 21 June 2019 (UTC) | decline={{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}[reply]
Username changes are global across all Wikimedia projects, so if you already requested a change there, you don't need to do so here. 331dot (talk) 09:50, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
But I want to note that the rename functions are currently disabled due to a bug. Please be patient. Jannik Schwaß (talk) 10:37, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
