Niksen è un verbo olandese che significa "non fare nulla",[1][2] che può essere tradotto approssimativamente come "nullando".[3] È stato studiato come metodo per fronteggiare i problemi di salute legati al lavoro come lo stress e il burnout.
Il concetto di Niksen è il focus di un libro di Olga Meching intitolato "Niksen: Embracing the Dutch Art of Doing Nothing", pubblicato nel 2021. Mecking ha acquisito notorietà nei Paesi Bassi su questo argomento, grazie a questo libro.[4]
