Storyline

Il torneo inizia nella puntata di Raw del 12 maggio 1997, Ahmed Johnson sconfigge Hunter Hearst Helmsley per squalifica andando alle semifinali. Nella puntata di Raw del 19 maggio 1997 Crush viene sconfitto da Helmsley andando alle semifinali, quest'ultimo prende il posto dell'infortunato Vader. Nell'edizione di Raw del 26 maggio 1997 Jerry Lawler batte Goldust andando alle semifinali. Nell'episodio di Raw del 2 giugno 1997 Mankind sconfigge Savio Vega andando alle semifinali.

La rivalità principale è quella tra il WWF Champion The Undertaker e Faarooq. Nella puntata di Raw del 12 maggio 1997, Faarooq interviene attaccando Undertaker quando quest'ultimo stava schienando Savio Vega.
