Malgrado un buon inizio, che aveva gli aveva fruttato il secondo posto in classifica[2] e il passaggio ai sedicesimi di finale di Coppa UEFA ai danni del Monaco, il Leeds accusò un graduale calo che lo fece piombare fino al tredicesimo posto finale[3]. Nella competizione continentale la squadra fu invece eliminata ai sedicesimi di finale, a causa di una doppia sconfitta contro il PSV, mentre in FA Cup fu fermata ai quarti di finale dal Manchester United.
Maglie e sponsor[modifica | modifica wikitesto]
La stagione 1995-1996 vede l'eliminazione di qualunque motivo sulla maglia, che divenendo totalmente bianca e con un logo costituito dalle lettere LUFC, si avvicina a quella utilizzata nei primi anni settanta. Rimangono invariati sponsor tecnico (Asics) e ufficiale (Thistle Hotels)[4].
