General considerations[modifica wikitesto]

Dear readers / editors

This is the wiki page of the Holy Founder of the Ahmadiyya movement in Islam and deserves appropriate treatment. It is highly likely that devotees *will* contribute to this page and from the outset, there is no reason why it should not be so. Non-devotees will not necessarily be 'neutral' either as in the case of many of the contributors to this page.

At the same time, i do agree that over-zealous contributors on both sides ought to be monitored and diligently rectified/improved.

The Ahmadiyya movement is not your council-variety new age temple. It is a real, groundbreaking, organised, and growing movement within one of the world's greatest religion, Islam. And it's potential is a clearly a cause of concern for some. The wiki page of its founder has to be as genuine as possible. It cannot be the page of the critics of Ahmadiyya and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. Feel free to have another wiki page for that and link to this one.

Wikipedia is meant for the people at large. There is no real need of esoteric terms, pedantic considerations, and/or complex, narcissistic linguistic constructions to validate a wiki page. The more relevant, ordered, correct and clear enough information there is on an item or any item for that matter, is good for the public. After all Wikipedia does allow for a degree of imperfection. All the more so on superficial language details than on the quality (correctness/relevance) of the data itself.

If you feel the language is poor, improve it instead of just removing large chunks of relevant data. And passing that off as non-devotee, neutral, encyclopedic(?) contribution.

Setting apart from non-neutral tones you added I must underline the use of automatic translators weakens the meaning of any text. It's anything but pedantry: it's a form of respect towards readers. --Vito (msg) 22:42, 19 giu 2014 (CEST)[rispondi]
