Bot (Bar)

Per avere lo status di bot, occorre:
  • Registrare un'utenza con la parola bot compresa nel nome. Questo è necessario, perché facilita il riconoscimento del bot stesso a chi deve controllare le pagine. La pagina utente del bot dovrebbe riportare le indicazioni per contattare il manovratore del bot stesso.
  • Annunciare in questa pagina le principali funzionalità del bot stesso e i campi di intervento previsti.
  • Specificare se si usa Pywikipedia o, in alternativa, il linguaggio di programmazione utilizzato.
  • Verificare il comportamento del bot su un congruo numero di pagine (né troppe, né troppo poche: in genere ne basta una cinquantina); preferibilmente sottopagine dell'utente in modo che eventuali errori non danneggino le voci.
  • Raccogliere un certo numero di pareri favorevoli di altri wikipediani con particolari requisiti che hanno controllato le modifiche effettuate dal bot, da riportare qui.
  • Dopo 7 giorni un burocrate controllerà che la richiesta abbia ricevuto almeno i 3/4 di pareri favorevoli con un minimo di 3 pareri.
  • Per i bot gestiti da utenti di altre wiki e che utilizzano Pywikipedia per le funzionalità di interlink, è sufficiente un solo parere positivo e non sono necessari i 7 giorni.

 To obtain a bot flag you have to:
  • Register a bot account with the word bot in the username. Something like YourusernameBot. Username with non-latin types are not allowed. Please identify the maintainer.
  • Add in this page a paragraph describing the bot's purpose, what program(s) it uses (pywikipedia framework, etc).
  • You have to verify the bot contributions: please make about 50 edits. A non-flagged bot that makes too many edits can be blocked.
  • After 7 days from the request a bureaucrat will give you the flag if there will be at least 3 total votes with 3/4 support votes.
  • If you have already the bot flag on other wikipedia, and you are on Pywikipedia framework to put interlink, it's enough only one support vote and it is not necessary to wait for 7 days.
  • Plese note that automatic approval is not allowed.

MerlLinkBot

  1. Main task: changes links in articles/templates/files/categories which are outdated and can be successfully replaced by a new one.
  2. Interwikis, but only supervised on single sites (done by py)

  • Descrizione: The bot replaces urls that have to be changed. This can be only a domain change or a more complex page structure change on a website. Links are dectected with the help of the api (and not with regex) and are only replaced if the webserver of the new url returns a 200-status-response for that new resource. Links in “normal article text” are not changed.

CIA Factbook changed its location at the end of March and normally i wait some week till i correct those link on WP. Segnalo qui e nella pagina delle discussioni bot attivi che il bot in questione non sembra particolarmente efficiente. In particolare (tra le altre cose che fa) elimina interwiki a disambigue senza sostituirli col collegamento corretto (ad esempio qui, qui e qui, ma ne trovate molti altri). Visto che il numero di contributi è ancora limitato ([1]) sarebbe forse il caso di bloccarlo in attesa di migliorie. --AKappa (msg) 20:22, 4 lug 2009 (CEST)

  • Descrizione: Il bot funziona in modo automatico ma non autonomo. Verrebbe usato poche volte all'anno, in modo da aggiornare i links con i contenuti proposti dall'Ircam. La prima operazione modificherebbe qualche centinaio di pagine, le successive alcune decine. Si tratta in ogni caso di un programma professionale che è già stato testato sul wiki interno dell'Ircam. Lingue parlate : en, es, fr, it.
