Biografia

Nacque a Boise City, Oklahoma, da Burnice Wyrick e Thomas Ralston. Trascorse l'adolescenza a Pratt e a Wichita (Kansas) dove si diplomò presso la Wichita North High School, lavorando la sera come operatrice dattilografa per la Western Union. Venne incoronata Miss Kansas nel 1948.

Vera Miles si è sposata tre volte:

• Nel 1948 si è sposata con Bob Miles, dal quale ebbe due figli: Debra (nata nel 1950) e Kelley (nata nel 1952). La coppia ha divorziato nel 1954.

• Nel 1954 si è sposata con l'attore Gordon Scott, dal quale ha avuto un figlio: Michael (nato nel 1957). La coppia ha divorziato nel 1959.

• Il 26 luglio 1960 si è sposata con Keith Larsen, dal quale ha avuto un figlio: Erik (nato il 30 aprile 1961). La coppia ha divorziato nel 1971.
