Howard Mayer Brown

Howard Mayer Brown (Los Angeles, 13 aprile 1930 – Venezia, 20 febbraio 1993) è stato un musicologo statunitense.
Biografia [modifica]
Brown si è laureato all'Università di Harvard nel 1951 sotto la guida di Walter Piston e Otto Gombosi. Egli si è poi dedicato all'attività concertistica sia come flautista che come direttore d'orchestra. Ha poi insegnato in diverse università degli Stati Uniti e della Gran Bretagna dedicandosi anche alla scrittura di libri sulla musica antica.
