Guy Pratt (Londra, 3 gennaio 1962) è un bassista, compositore, attore e comico britannico.

Oltre ad essere un bassista molto richiesto, Pratt è compositore di musiche e testi, occasionalmente attore e comico.

Carriera

Pratt è meglio conosciuto per il suo lavoro come session man. Ha lavorato, tra gli altri, con i Pink Floyd, Madonna, Robbie Robertson, Michael Jackson e anche in Italia con Paola & Chiara.

Dal 2006 ha suonato il basso per Bryan Ferry ed attualmente lo accompagna nel suo tour solista in tutta Europa.

Ha calcato il grande palcoscenico come bassista dei Pink Floyd, scelto dopo l' abbandono di Roger Waters. Ha collaborato nei tour Delicate Sound of Thunder e P•U•L•S•E e nei tour mondiali del 1987 e del 1994, eseguendo anche la seconda voce in Run Like Hell, Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2), Us and Them e Comfortably Numb.

Con David Gilmour ha suonato il basso nel On a Island Tour dal quale è stato tratto il doppio DVD Remember that Night.

Vita privata

È figlio dell'attore Mike Pratt. Nel 1996 sposa Gala Wright, figlia del tastierista dei Pink Floyd, Richard Wright.
