George Arthur Maurice Hamilton-Gordon, II barone Stanmore (3 gennaio 1871 – 13 aprile 1957) è stato un politico scozzese.

Era il figlio di Arthur Hamilton-Gordon, I barone Stanmore, e di sua moglie, Rachel Emily Shaw-Lefevre, figlia di John Shaw-Lefevre. Frequentò il Winchester College e il Trinity College (Cambridge).
Carriera[modifica | modifica wikitesto]
Ha servito come segretario privato (1892-1895) successivamente del First Commissioner of Works e il President of the Local Government Board. Hamilton-Gordon fu arruolato nel Hampshire Regiment, ma nel gennaio 1902 venne trasferito, come capitano del 3º Battaglione del Gordon Highlanders[1].
Dopo essere succeduto al padre nel 1912, servì come Lord-in-Waiting sotto il governo di H. H. Asquith e di David Lloyd George (1914-1922). Fu tesoriere del St Bartholomew's Hospital (1921-1937). Fu un membro del consiglio privato.

Morì il 13 aprile 1957, all'età di 86 anni.
