Help for a quick translation

dear Oscar, I'm looking for information about the Latin grammarian called Orbilius, and I found an interesting page here. But since I have no knowledge of Dutch language I couldn't figure anything out of it. I'd like to know at least who Peter van Braam is and what his Orbilius antibarbarus is about. I don't want you to translate the entire page (but I'd be delighted if you did it for the poem), but just help me without too much waste of your time. • Aan 't oordeelkundig onderzoeken
  • to investigate with appropriate judgement
• Van oude en nieuwe spelleboeken.
  • old and new books on spelling. (a little pun seems intended here, since "spel" also means play, game in dutch)
• Hij, die de doling van een komma fiks betrapt,
  • he that uncovers severely a straying comma,
• En, wijl de letters 't woord en woorden zaken maken,
  • and, while the the letters indicate the word and words indicate things,
• Eerst om de letters denkt, en eindlijk om de zaken;
  • thinks first of the letters, and later of the matters;
• Hij, wien geen streep, geen stip ontsnapt,
  • he, whom no line or dot escapes,
• Die held, die door zijn edelmoedig pogen,

• Toevallig op een luifelschrift:

  • o wretched fatherland! ... o! coffee with a C! (in dutch koffie is spelled with a K)
