Allan Dwan

Allan Dwan, nome d'arte di Joseph Aloysius Dwan (Toronto, 3 aprile 1885 – Woodland Hills, 21 dicembre 1981), è stato un regista e sceneggiatore statunitense di origine canadese.

Biografia

La sua famiglia si trasferì negli Stati Uniti quando aveva undici anni, studiò ingegneria presso l'Università di Notre Dame ed iniziò a lavorare per una compagnia elettrica di Chicago. Pioniere del cinema, fondò la A.D. Production e la Associated Producers. Nella sua vasta filmografia è possibile trovare opere dei generi classici di Hollywood.

Dal 1915 al 1921 è stato sposato con l'attrice Pauline Bush.
