Anche prima della realizzazione di Acid Eaters, i Ramones suonarono o incisero cover di altri gruppi. Ad esempio, già nel primo album Ramones, trova posto il pezzo Let's Dance di Chris Montez (scritto e accreditato a Jim Lee).
