200 km/h in the Wrong Lane (A 200 km/h Contromano) fu il primo album in lingua inglese pubblicato dalle t.A.T.u.. L'album ha venduto più di 5 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo. Ha vinto il disco d'oro negli Stati Uniti e nel Regno Unito, mentre in Giappone ha avuto il disco di diamante. In Italia ha venduto più di 80.000 copie aggiudicandosi un disco di platino.
L'album è stato registrato registrato nel 2002 dopo che il gruppo ha pubblicato il loro primo album di grande successo in Europa, 200 Po Vstrečnoj.

- Ja Sošla S Uma e Nas Ne Dogonjat sono state traslitterate incorrettamente, anche secondo i canoni americani (diversi da quelli europei) in questo album. La prima è diventata Ya Shosla S Uma mentre la seconda Nas Ne Dagoniat.
- In Giappone sono state pubblicate due versioni differenti dell'album. La ri-edizione contiene due dischi. Il primo è l'album con una traccia bonus (Ne Ver, Ne Bojsja) e il secondo un DVD con i video di All The Things She Said, Not Gonna Get Us e How Soon Is Now?. Questa versione contiene anche materiali bonus.
